History Kids: A History Curriculum Based on Liberty's Kids!

History Kids: A History Curriculum Based on Liberty's Kids!

We are in the busy season of life, with illnesses, gardening, and homemaking. I had the idea for these types of unit studies last year, when a friend of mine suggested Wild Kratts based studies. My husband, and this friend, both suggested Liberty's Kids. I did not have the privilege of growing up with Liberty's Kids- so I thought it would be a great way for both myself AND my kiddos to learn about Early American History this way!!

After another surgery in January, and after we finished Wild Science 1 & 2, I embarked on the journey that is now History Kids. It was just released this past week, but I wanted to take this time to answer some questions!

What grades does it cover?

We offer a Teacher's Guide, and 3 different student notebooks. PreK (a coloring book), K-3rd grade, and 3-6th grade. Just like our Wild Science, Ocean Biomes, and Bare Bones. Continuity right?

How do you know what grade to choose?

2 ways! Download the free sample, or pick the grade group that aligns best. 3rd graders at the beginning of 3rd grade may want the K-3, and at the end maybe the 3-6.

The Free Sample: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/13q8sSU-6pTvskM0hS7vDLv0d95kTFzo5?usp=drive_link

How long is this designed to take?

There are 20 different lessons. So this could take 20 days, or 4 weeks, if done every school day (M-F).

It could take 5 weeks, if done 4 days a week.

Sometimes, people will only do 2 history days a week, and then you're set for 10 weeks! :)

What subjects, or early American history does it cover?

It covers the first 20 episodes of Liberty's Kids. From The Boston Tea Party, to George Washington being chosen to lead the army, and their crossing the Delaware River.
